La brigade fluviale a repêché une prothèse d'un bras en titane. Il appartient au caporal Dana Taylor. La jeune femme était partie en mars 2004 en Irak et y était revenue en juin 2004 après avoir perdu un bras lors d'une attaque près de Falloujah. Trois mois après son retour, elle était portée disparue. L'enquête se concentre dans le proche entourage de la jeune femme. Elle était mariée et mère d'une fillette. Elle exerçait le métier de pâtissière. Selon son mari Jeff, Dana n'était plus la même depuis son retour d'Irak.
